The History or Story Behind His Site:
When he was in the field of education, he did a considerable amount of writing involving educational programs, but he had never written a novel. Since his retirement he began to write about subjects he knew best and enjoyed the challenge.
He always classified writing as a hobby along with his other interests. The observations of the many episodes, incidences, and events that he witnessed while living in the Coal Region and serving in the Armed Forces influenced his interest in writing. He had the opportunity to observe and witness the difficulties and hardships encountered by the people who had to depend upon coal mining to earn a livelihood. He was appalled at the massive destruction caused to the environment by strip mining which is still being done in various parts of our county. The environment of the Coal Region has caused him to write and speak about the importance of conservation and to protect the interests of our posterity.
